Ashley Knoote-Parke is the owner of Brand it Purple Pty Ltd, a dynamic brand consultancy specialising in personal and business branding, workshops & strategic consulting. She also owns tish’n enigma books, a boutique publishing business.

She is a sought after speaker, author and workshop leader who understands the consequences of self doubt, low confidence and lacking in motivation.

Although she was born in the United Kingdom she grew up in South Africa where you need a loud voice and a big gun to survive the day! She lost her parents at a very young age and had to fend for herself in the politically unstable and crime ridden South Africa.

As a student nurse she was told she would only amount to a drama queen! This motivated her to ‘show the world’ what she was made of, however with no parents or guidance she took a nose dive into the world of alcohol, anorexia and bulimia, debt, being abused and facing death.

Whilst working for the biggest newspaper in Johannesburg, her ‘father like’ boss who believed in her, said “shape up or ship out”! With this lifeline she took the world head on and began to carve herself a niche in the media business.

Winning the fight with her demons, she focused on issues such as overcoming body image, self doubt, motivational issues and the “you are no good syndrome”

She speaks with an energy that is worth bottling – it comes from the heart and she has “been there – done that”. Her main focus is believing in yourself, “you can do it”.

Ashley has a hands-on approach to inspire, motivate and get her audiences looking within

er audiences looking within

themselves, to dig deep and find the strength and motivation to live the life they truly want and not the life others want for them.

She has just published her latest coffee table book ‘Lounge to Boardroom – Inspirational stories of successful South Australian women in business’. By doing what others said was not possible; she proved once again, “you can do anything you set your mind to, no matter what ‘they say’”! Same applies to her coffee table book ‘Footprints – South Australia’ which has been very successful.

She has also written ‘Brand it Purple – Stand out in a crowd’ and it is THE book about personal branding.

With more than 20 years experience in media, international marketing, publishing, advertising and public relations, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge to businesses and she holds honours in marketing and lectures marketing subjects, and is a contract trainer for the elite SkillPath; the 3rd largest training company in the world.

She specialises in working with companies and individuals to develop their business and personal brand ‘from the inside out and the outside in’ including personal styling.

She is a member of NSA (National Speakers Association) and is an engaging and entertaining professional speaker and captures her audience’s attention through story’s, animation and passion.

She also represented South Australia as a Top 10 Speaker Idol, at the 2009 National Speakers Conference.

Ashley has been included in the 2007 inaugural edition of Who’s Who – South Australia and was a 2007 finalist in the Telstra business women of the year awards.

Keynote Topics

Purple Poppies – Why do they make more money?

Because they understand the power of personal branding Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey and Richard Branson are Purple Poppies and have built their entire empires on their personal brands.

So what do they have that we don’t? Well we all have a brand – the difference is understanding what we have and how to harness the power of your own brand.

In the book Brand it Purple, we talk about being a Purple Poppy in a field of red.

Standing out of the crowd and not blending into the ‘sameness’ of the landscape.

This doesn’t mean wearing a feather boa or a clown tie, but it does mean realising what you already have and how to use it to your best advantage.

This keynote will have your audience realising their full potential of what is right under their noses and learn how to develop and profit from their personal brands.

Purple Poppies – Why first impressions can make or break! From bland to brand.

We only have 4 seconds in which to make a positive first impression and we never get a 2nd chance to make it right!

We are all a brand, the difference is most people don’t what their brand is.

Why do some people get all the business and others not? It not necessarily ‘salesmanship’ but rather your personal brand, so what is your brand saying about you?

From bland to brand – there are only 6 key things

that separates us ‘non brands’ to those brands who we have all come to know.

How are you perceived in the market place and is what you think congruent with what they think? This can be the difference as to whether people do business with you or not.

Whether your audience needs some recharging of the attitude or a makeover, audiences can participate in this memorable keynote as they learn to develop their own personal brands and go from ‘bland to brand’.

Purple Poppies – Stand out of the crowd and be a client magnet!.

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to attract people like bees to a honey pot? Those individuals have mastered their personal brands and are remembered.

If people don’t notice us let alone remember us in a business situation or a networking event, we may as well have stayed at home with our feet up on the couch as it would have been more productive!

In this fiercely competitive business environment it is critical that we get ‘noticed’ and are

remembered for all the right reasons.

When people encounter us they will make a decision about doing business with us within the first 4 seconds, but they just don’t know it yet.

So how can you make sure they remember you? Purple Poppies are masters at attracting clients and this keynote will help you become that ‘client magnet’. With stories you can relate to and tips to becoming a client magnet, your audience will have the tools to become client magnets.

Purple Poppies – Empowering Women in Business

Did you know the state of South Australia has more entrepreneurial women than any of the other states?

Statistically 8 of 10 people would rather be doing something else, or put another way, 83% of people hate their jobs. That is an alarming figure which goes to explain the proliferation of women setting up their own businesses and succeeding too!

Women have become the powerhouse and are

behind 93% of all buying decisions in the home!

They are a formidable force to be reckoned with and statistically have higher success rates when it comes to running their own businesses.

So what does it take to be one of these women? Well its not that difficult, it is just the unwavering belief in oneself that ‘I can do it’.

This keynote will leave your audience on a natural high and excited about their futures!

Lounge to Boardroom – the Purple Poppies that made it into the book!

With over 200 nominations and interviewing of nearly 80 women, we were spoilt for choice with the calibre of women being nominated for this book.

Of the 200 nominations less than 5% were self nominations. That sends a very loud message of women who are self effacing, modest and not comfortable tooting their own horn.

Lounge to Boardroom is about bringing these seemingly ‘ordinary’ women together and recognising that what they are doing is

‘extraordinary’. To be in the book they had to be ‘making a difference’, ‘be gusty & determined’ and be prepared to ‘take risks’. Yet they still think they are ordinary.

Humble, down to earth women and mothers; the story of this book will inspire you to look beyond the “I can’t do that” to the “I am going to do that – I don’t know how yet – but I am going to!”

Be inspired by the journey of the book, the women and woman behind the book.
